Three teenagers are under arrest on a host of charges after first stealing a car in Brighton, then carjacking a man in Rochester.

Police say a 71-year-old Vietnam veteran was washing his car in his driveway on Lake Avenue when the teens pulled up in their stolen car, then stole his car at gunpoint. Both vehicles fled the scene, but police spotted them minutes later on Bay Street.

The officer arrested one driver on Vermont Street. The other two teenagers were spotted with the second stolen car on Bowman Street. They fled and were arrested after a foot chase.

The suspects are 14, 15 and 16 years old. The older two are charged with robbery and grand larceny. The 14-year-old is charged by Brighton police with grand larceny.

All three teens are being held in secure detention.
