State Police are investigating a three-vehicle crash in Wayne County yesterday evening that seriously injured three people. It happened on Route 104 in Butler.
Troopers say 26-year-old Michael Collins of Ontario tried to pass another car in a no-passing zone and smashed head-on into an oncoming vehicle. Collins and his passenger, 23-year-old Leeann Azzano, were airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the car that got hit was 17-year-old Thomas Seely from Skaneateles. He went to Strong with a broken leg and other injuries. The Rochester man driving the car Collins was trying to pass wasn’t hurt.
