A pair of Rochester 19-year-olds have been charged with second degree murder for a Christmas Day homicide on Genesee Street.
Elzie James and Joshua Burns are charged with the murder of Jarvis Porter, who was found shot to death on the 100 block of Genesee Street. Police say their investigation led to Burns and James, who were arrested by the department’s tactical unit.
The suspects and the victim were all acquainted. Police haven’t commented on the motive for the shooting.
Porter had survived being shot once before at that same location.
