A suspect has been arrested in a string of smash-and-grab burglaries in Rochester, and he’s a 16-year-old boy. Police say the teen, whose identity they haven’t released, was one of the people who broke into Comedy at the Carlson, the Record Archive, a restaurant and two liquor stores on the city’s east side. In some cases, a stolen car was used to smash through the front doors.

The teen is charged with burglary and criminal mischief for each breakin, plus grand larceny and petit larceny.

The breakins caused thousands of dollars in damages to the businesses involved.
