Five people were arrested after a stolen SUV was seen fleeing from a scene where a 14-year-old boy was shot on Rosewood Terrace.
U.S. Marshall Charles Salina said members of a task force were in the area on Monday afternoon when they heard gunfire and saw a Kia Sportage speeding away from the scene. Marshals, State and Rochester police gave chase, until the speeding SUV crashed at Lancraft Street and Woodman Park. Five people ran from the car, but were all apprehended.
Rochester police say the 14-year-old was shot in the leg and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital where he’s recovering.
Police said the SUV had been stolen in Pittsford on Sunday.
