A Rochester teenager will serve 20 years to life in prison for the fatal carjacking that killed Richard Sciascia on Buell Road in Gates.
Edgar Tolentino Jr. said he took full responsibility for what happened in April of 2021 when he and Anthony Jacobs tried to steal Siascia’s car at gunpoint. Sciascia was fatally shot during the crime. Jacobs has also pleaded guilty.
Monroe County Family Court Judge Stacey Romeo blasted Tolentino for his “blatant disregard for human life” in passing sentence.
