One of two teenagers accused of setting a Rochester man on fire has been found guilty of second degree murder, but not guilty on a charge of arson.
Adriel Riley, who was 14 at the time of the incident and is now 16, was also found guilty of criminal possession of a weapon. He and another teen were accused of dousing 53-year-old Steven Amenhauser with lighter fluid and setting him on fire nearly two years ago. The incident took place in Amenhauser’s apartment on Lyell Avenue, and the victim died in the hospital four days later.
The other accused assailant, Zayvion Perry, pleaded guilty to manslaughter earlier this month and will be sentenced March 28th. Riley will be sentenced on the same date.
