A bail hearing for Charlie Tan set for tomorrow in federal court in Syracuse has been pushed back to October 19th. It looks like Tan will remain in the custody of federal marshals until then.
He’s been charged with receiving a firearm with intent to use it in committing a crime and with lying on a firearms purchase form he filled out while trying to buy a shotgun. The gun he received was used in his father’s death two years ago. Tan was tried for his murder, but the charges were dismissed by the judge after the jury deadlocked.
