Rochester Police say it looks as though there was a marijuana growing operation inside a vacant commercial building on Fernwood Avenue that caught fire this morning. A 47-year-old man was struck by a hit-and-run driver while crossing North Clinton Avenue at Avenue A late last night. Police found the city resident lying in the road with a leg injury. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and is expected to recover. Police are trying to find the driver.
