A broken water main has closed part of downtown Main Street between St. Paul and State Streets. The main broke about 5:00 a.m, flooding the street and tearing up the pavement. Part of Norton Street in Rochester had to be closed early Thursday morning because of a water main break. It took until about 9:00 a.m. to get the road reopened. This follows a water main break earlier in the week on East Avenue in front of the Wegmans which temporarily closed that block.
