Shots Fired at City Library

Rochester Police were called to the Phillis Wheatley Library in Rochester Thursday evening for a report of shots being fired.   They found one of the library windows damaged by a bullet and bullets also hit a house at 27 Lundsford Lane, but nobody was injured.   Police continue to investigate.

City Man Recovering After Being Shot

Rochester police say a 22-year-old city man was shot and wounded Wednesday in the area of 30 Quincy Street. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and is expected to recover. No suspect has been arrested and the investigation continues.

Rochester Teen Sentenced in Shooting of Girlfriend

A 17-year-old Rochester boy has been sentenced to 2-6 years in state prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter. Jermaine Brown admitted to shooting and killing his girlfriend, 18-year-old Ciara Grimes, shooting her inside a home on Delamaine Drive. Grimes had taken out an order of protection against Brown just a few days before.
