Mother, Daughter Still Hospitalized After Jay St. Fire

A young mother and her six-month-old daughter remain hospitalized after the early Monday morning fire on Jay Street. Both were rescued by firefighters from the smoke-filled building. They remain in the Intensive Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital. The fire department is still investigating what caused the fire.
