The S-Mets beat Rochester, 2-1, for the second straight night.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Red Wings lost, 2-1, for a second straight night to the Syracuse Mets at Frontier Field Saturday.

Rochester mustered just one hit, a Blake Swihart second inning single.

Syracuse took the 1-0 lead in the top of the third on a Patrick Mazeika RBI single.

The Wings tied the game in the bottom of third without the benefit of a hit. Syracuse starter Zack Godley walked the bases loaded before a Jake Noll sacrifice fly brought home Jecksson Flores.

The Mets grabbed the lead back for good in the sixth inning on a sac fly from Mark Payton.

Sterling Sharp starter for Rochester and went three innings allowing a run on five hitsNick Wells suffered the loss allowing a run in 1 2/3 innings of work.

The Red Wings and Mets wrap up their week-long series on Sunday afternoon at Frontier Field.
