Two SUVs went up in flames this morning in Sweden, with both vehicles a total loss despite the efforts of the Brockport and Spencerport Fire Departments.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to a home on Fourth Section Road after a Hummer caught fire while running in the driveway. The Hummer became fully involved in flames, and the fire spread to the family’s Ford Expedition which was parked next to the Hummer. Both vehicles were lost by the time firefighters could get there and douse the fire. Neither vehicle was occupied when it caught fire.
Preliminary investigation shows the fire started with an electrical problem in the Hummer. Nobody was hurt in the fire which started about a quarter
