Two people were stabbed in downtown Rochester Friday night. One of them died, and a man is under arrest on charges of second degree murder and assault.
34-year-old Black Jewelz pleaded “not guilty” Monday morning in City Court.
He was arrested after 24-year-old David Quendo was fatally stabbed near the RTS Transit Center. Shortly after that crime, police were called to Pleasant and St. Paul Streets nearby where they found 28-year-old Neville Brown suffering from non-life threatening stab wounds.
While police were searching the area they noticed an argument between a man and a woman nearby. She had a large knife and refused to drop it. Police took her into custody.
They developed information leading them to Black Jewelz as the suspect, but haven’t said how the knife-wielding woman may have been connected to the two stabbings.
