A Rochester parolee was arrested over the weekend as a suspect in two murder cases. Police say26-year-old Tyrone Jiggets Jr was arrested on Driving Park Avenue by a Tactical Unit and the SWAT Team. He’s accused of murdering Luis Morales on January 19, and Juan Pena-Mendez on February 26.
Morales was shot on North Clinton Avenue in an incident that left two other men wounded. Pena-Mendez was shot while sitting in a car in his driveway, with at least 16 shots fired from two different handguns.
When caught, Jiggets had two handguns and more than 150 rounds of ammunition. He was on parole from an illegal weapons possession conviction, and has two prior felony convictions.
Jiggets his charged with second degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
