Eighteen SUNY students who were among about 300 called back from foreign studies abroad are now quarantined in a dorm on the SUNY Brockport campus, waiting 14 days to see if they contracted the COVID-19 disease while studying in Italy.

The students arrived at JFK airport in New York on Saturday and were bused overnight to Brockport, arriving at 4:00 Sunday morning to begin their waiting period. None has symptoms of the COVID-19 disease. All were tested before boarding the flight, according to Sweden Town Supervisor Kevin Johnson. The County and the State Health Department are monitoring their progress.

Gordon Hall, where the students are being housed, was unused at the time.
