The 350 member SUNY Student Assembly has unanimously condemned a graffiti incident at SUNY Geneseo that’s being investigated by State Police as a hate speech incident.
A resident assistant at one of the college’s dorms found a swastika and the name “Trump” on a wall Friday. Governor Cuomo ordered a state police and New York Division of Human Rights investigation into the incident, and a similar incident in the Southern Tier.
In that case, graffiti reading “make America white again” and a swastika were sprayed on a softball field dugout in Wellsville.
The SUNY Assembly say they “vigorously support SUNY’s unwavering dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
