A lawsuit against the Town of Irondequoit and two members of the town council has been thrown out by a federal judge.

Councilwoman Patrina Freeman filed suit in March of last year, alleging racial discrimination over formation of a committee she chaired called ICARE, the Irondequoit Commission for Advancing Racial Equity. Freeman was censured by the other councilmembers for using town resources on the committee. She alleged racial discrimination over the affair.

The judge found Freeman had not presented facts to indicate racial discrimination, but instead demonstrated a political difference existed between her and the town.
