The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after an envelope containing a powdery substance was opened this afternoon at the Monroe County Office Building.
The Sheriff’s Office says investigators have determined it was tooth powder and wasn’t harmful. The Communications Office on the third floor was evacuated during the investigation. Nobody was injured.
