The storm was worse in other parts of Upstate. More than 111,000 people were without electric power, mainly in Central and Eastern New York.

The parent company of Rochester Gas and Electric and NYSEG says about 45,000 customers were out between the two companies, mainly in Allegany, Livingston, Ontario and Monroe Counties. The two companies have more than 1,000 service techs working to restore power mainly caused by the snow and gusty winds taking down tree branches and also power line
