The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says two juveniles are under arrest after a carjacking and chase that began in Perinton.
Deputies said a victim’s car was stolen at gunpoint Wednesday night. The stolen car was spotted a short time later on I-490, accompanied by two other vehicles. A traffic stop was attempted, but one of the vehicles broke away and took 590 south. All three vehicles were pursued into the city of Rochester, where the chases ended in two separate neighborhoods.
With assistance from the Rochester Police Department, two juvenile suspects were detained. Nobody was injured. The investigation is still underway.
