Governor Cuomo has launched a new campaign to boost tourism along Lake Ontario…trying to counteract business losses from the spring flooding that hampered tourism.
Cuomo says he’s waiving the fees and offering free fishing on Lake Ontario, the St Lawrence and Lower Niagara Rivers through Labor Day.
Cuomo also says the state will offer half-off entry to the 20 state parks and campgrounds along the lake. He says once people come up and see what the Lake Ontario region has to offer, they’ll come back.
