New York State Police are taking another look at their investigation into a 2002 cold case in Wayne County.
State Police say a woman’s body was found on August 29th 2002, in a wooded area next to a fishing access roadway, off West Port Bay Road in the Town of Wolcott. Authorities believe the body had been left in the wooded area near Lake Ontario sometime between late June and early August of 2002.
The body was so badly decomposed that identifying the woman has been extremely difficult, but investigators believe she was between 20 and 40 years old, and was 7 months pregnant at the time of her death.
