New York State Police continue their investigation of a 40-year-old cold case, and are asking the public’s help in finding what happened to James Dean Knox of Warsaw, Wyoming County.
Knox was reported Missing on December 21, 1979 by his grandmother, who last saw him at her home in South Warsaw on December 9th. An investigation turned up friends and associates who had seen Knox on December 10 and 11, but none after that.
Knox was on medical leave from his job at a machine company in Leroy at the time, and was 24 years old when he disappeared. Anyone who may have information that could help determine what happened to him is asked to call state police in Warsaw at 585-786-7244. Please refer to case # 3029766.
