Governor Cuomo’s office says the state has committed $4.75 million dollars to support expanding early child anti-poverty initiatives in Rochester. The money will go to new summer learning programs, child care and home visiting services.
The money will be administered by the Rochester Anti-Poverty Initiative and some key Rochester neighborhood associations including East Main, Beechwood and Marketview Heights.
They’ll be able to provide home healthy-child services to 116 more Monroe County families, and provide summer learning to 305 more children.
