New York Attorney General Letitia James has announced an expansion of the state’s anti-zombie home programs.
The “Zombies 2.0” program puts an additional $9 million in grant money up for grabs by municipalities across the state. They can apply for it to assist their own zombie home programs.
Zombie homes are those left vacant by foreclosure, but which don’t get sold or reoccupied right away. They begin to deteriorate and bring down the neighborhood.
