Greece Supervisor Bill Reilich says the town and the state are extending speed limits on boaters to the Greece Ponds as well as Lake Ontario.
Five mph “no wake” speed limits have been applied to all lakeshore waters and bays because of the high water and the danger of shoreline erosion. Supervisor Reilich now says those same restrictions apply to Buck Pond, Long Pond and Round Pond because they connect with the lake.
The no-wake order also applies to Braddock Bay and Buttonwood Creek Channels, Salmon Creek and anywhere within 100 feet of shore.
