Lake Ontario has topped 248 feet, according to the Lake Ontario St. Lawrence River Board. The heavy rains and high inflow from the Niagara River and other streams mean the water will continue to rise.
Meanwhile a shift from north to south winds along the lakeshore has calmed the waters down for today. The water is up to…but not over…the sidewalk at the Charlotte Pier and the Genesee River mouth.
It’s near the bottom of the Edgemere Drive bridge at Slater Creek outlet, but not touching the bottom of the road as it was during the worst of the flooding two years ago.
