The FBI thinks Brittanee Drexel, who disappeared from Myrtle Beach seven years ago, was abducted, gang-raped, shot to death and thrown into a alligator-infested swamp in the dense forests near McClellanville. The Post and Courier of Myrtle Beach, S.C. says it’s obtained a federal court transcript that tells the fate of Brittanee Drexel, the 17-year-old Chili girl who vanished on a spring break trip to Myrtle Beach in 2009.

It’s a statement fromc an FBI agent, quoting a conversation he had with a prison inmate who claims he was present when Drexel was murdered. In it, he says Drexel was kidnapped, raped and forced into prostitution. When publicity began to spread about her, she was shot. Her dead body was then dumped in a swamp filled with alligators near McClellanville, South Carolina.

The FBI and South Carolina investigators said at a news conference back in June that Drexel had been held against her will for a number of days about 60 miles south of Myrtle Beach. They confirmed that the girl was dead.

A $25,000 reward has been put up for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in Drexel’s murder. The FBI has interviewed hundreds of people in the case and continues to look for new information.
