Crews will resume their search this morning for two men who vanished while apparently snowmobiling on Conesus Lake.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says rescue workers spent hours searching the north end of the lake Sunday afternoon. They found two helmets, and Sheriff Tom Dougherty says they believe the men and their sleds fell through the ice. He didn’t release the victims’ names.
The sheriff says searchers used drones to follow snowmobile tracks across the ice. He says family members waited 24 hours after not hearing from the men before reporting them missing. They set out early Saturday morning.
