A Romulus woman was killed Saturday when her car lost control on a curve on Route 89 in Covert and slid into the path of an oncoming pickup truck.
The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office says 41-year-old Marie Perez died in the head-on collision. Her two children were properly strapped into the back seat and survived the crash. Both are being treated at a Syracuse hospital. The driver and two passengers in the pickup truck were injured and also taken to the hospital.
Deputies say Perez’ Ford was demolished and the pickup was heavily damaged.
