A Siena College Poll released Thursday morning says nearly 40 percent of New York voters believe Governor Andrew Cuomo should finish his third term but not seek re-election to a fourth term. They’d prefer another candidate.

One-third of New Yorkers said they’re prepared to vote for Cuomo again for governor, and 23 percent say he should resign immediately because of the COVID nursing home scandal. In all, 62 percent say they’d rather not see the governor run for a fourth term.

The poll finds that Cuomo’s numbers have taken a significant hit since earlier in the year, with the nursing home question continuing to plague him.
