A new Siena Poll finds President Donald Trump with the worst favorability rating among New Yorkers he’s ever had since becoming president: a negative 29 to 66 percent.
Three-fourths of all New Yorkers now give the president a negative rating for job performance and 85 percent give him a negative rating on race relations. Half of New Yorkers say Trump gets an F for his handling of Charlottesville and its aftermath. Sixty-two percent think the country is heading in the wrong direction.
Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg says nine in ten Democrats and three-quarters of independents give Trump a negative job performance rating. And now for the first time, a small majority of 52 percent of Republicans give the President a thumbs down.
