A Siena College poll finds Governor Andrew Cuomo and Senator Chuck Schumer with their lowest-ever rating with the voters, just months after Cuomo handily won re-election.

Cuomo’s favorability rating fell to a negative 43-to-50 percent, even though the majority of voters polled says the new Democratic-driven legislation now passing the legislature will be good for New York. A small majority of New York voters also says Congress should not give President Trump his border wall, even at the cost of another government shutdown. An overwhelming majority of New Yorkers oppose Trump declaring a national emergency to complete his wall.

A similar large margin says the new Child Victims Act will be good for New York, and a smaller but still wide margin backs GENDA, New York’s version of the Dream Act. They say the same about the Reproductive Health Act, but by a smaller margin.
