Democrat Hillary Clinton holds a major lead over Republican Donald Trump in New York State according to the latest Siena Poll.
The Siena Research Institute finds Clinton holds a 21-point lead over trump, 51-30 percent. That’s down a little from a 25-point lead last month. Eight percent support Libertarian Gary Johnson.
Clinton leads by 52 points in New York City and by six points Upstate.
By more than a three-to-one margin, likely voters statewide say they support a “path to citizenship” for illegal immigrants. By smaller margins they want to keep and improve on Obamacare, and they consider themselves gun control supporters by a 15 point margin rather than supporters of the 2nd Amendment.
Siena finds Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer with a 46-point lead over Republican Wendy Long, who remains little known.
