Shots were fired in three unrelated incidents in Rochester last night. Here are the police reports:
- Male shot on Alphonse St
At approximately 8:00 pm Rochester Police Officers responded to Rochester General Hospital for the report of a walk-in gunshot victim. Upon arrival officers confirmed the 45 year old male, city resident, was shot at least once in the lower body. The victim was transported to RGH via private vehicle. The preliminary investigation suggests this incident occurred in the 300 block of Alphonse St. The victim is currently being treated at RGH for his non-life threatening injuries. There are no suspects in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
- Shots into a house on Rialto St
At approximately 8:26 pm Rochester Police Officers responded to the 100 block of Rialto St for the ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival officers located evidence that gunshots had been fired and learned an occupied house had been struck by gunfire. The occupants of the house were not shot, however, a dog on the front porch of the location was struck at least once by gunfire. I do not have any updates on the dogs injury. This incident is currently under investigation and there are no suspects in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
- Shots fired on Avenue D
At approximately 5:34 pm Rochester Police Officers responded to the 200 block of Avenue D for the ShotSpotter activation. Upon arrival officers located evidence that gunshots had been fired in the immediate area. Thankfully, there was no evidence suggesting anyone or anything had been struck by gunfire. There are no suspects in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
