Rochester Police say shots were fired into two houses on Christmas Eve, one on Avenue A and one house on Treyer Street.

Police were alerted by Rochester’s ShotSpotter system and 911 calls. They found nobody was hit by a bullet but a dog was injured, apparently struck by one of the shots. The animal was being evaluated by City Animal Control.

No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
