A 36-year-old Shortsville man has been arrested by New York State Police on charges of attempted rape, attempted criminal sex act and attempted disseminating indecent material to minors.
Troopers say Scott Castle allegedly drove to Dansville hoping to have sex with a 12-year-old girl, but he was arrested before coming into contact with the victim. Dansville Police and the federal Department of Homeland Security assisted in the investigation.
Castle was arraigned in Dansville Court and is being held on $40,000 Bail.
