A number of shootings took place in Rochester Sunday night. Police say two men were shot on Clifford Avenue at about 7:30 p.m.
As police were investigating the scene, a 43-year-old man walked into Rochester General Hospital with a gunshot wound to the lower body, and a 25-year-old man arrived at Strong Memorial Hospital, also with a gunshot wound. Police believe the two were shot in the same incident on Clifford. Both are recovering.
At about 9:45 p.m. ShotSpotter alerted police to gunshots on Lang Street. Officers saw a man being dropped off at Rochester General with a gunshot wound and learned he’d been shot on Lang Street. He suffered life-threatening injuries and is being treated. His exact status was unknown Monday morning.
There were more gunshots into Rochester houses. This time it was about 10 minutes before 8:00 Saturday night on Murray Street on the West Side. Officers were alerted by ShotSpotter and found evidence of gunshots that struck a house occupied by five people. None of them was injured.
And a man was stabbed Sunday night on Broad Street and Industrial Street. The 39-year-old Victim suffered multiple wounds to his upper body and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
