Rochester police were called twice to Lewis Street on the East Side early Sunday morning, once for a shooting, and once for a man threatening others with a gun.
A 29-year-old man was shot on Lewis Street just before 1:00 a.m. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment and his injuries were said to be non-life threatening.
Police were back at 4:00 a.m. to the same location for a report of a fight and found a man who had been threatening people with a gun. He was arrested as he tried to drive off, and the gun was found on the seat next to him. The 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.
