Greece Police say they won’t be filing any charges against a Rochester police investigator who may have driven drunk with his child in the car.

A spokesman says Greece Police have wrapped up their investigation of the Thanksgiving night incident on Sherri Ann Lane. It began as a missing child investigation when people at a party noticed the child was missing. After an investigation, the child was found safe in bed at home but with no indication of how he got there.  Greece Police said earlier that the people at the party were intoxicated and uncooperative.

In a statement, Greece Police say they’ve conducted an extensive investigation and interviews and turned everything over to the Monroe County District Attorney. They say there is insufficient evidence at this time to file any charges.

Although the criminal investigation is closed, Rochester Police continue an internal investigation into the incident.
