A convicted sex trafficker who recruited vulnerable women and teenagers into prostitution has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison.

Federal prosecutors say 30-year-old Stephen Jones of Rochester was a predator who abused women and children for his own financial gain. They say he beat and threatened the women he trafficked, and forced some of them to get matching tatoos.

Jones was convicted in September on five sex trafficking charges.
