This was the final day of operations for Sentry Safe in Rochester. The company’s new owners, Master Lock, have closed the factory and moved the jobs to Mexico.
Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce CEO Bob Duffy says it’s a tough day for the entire region and a sad reflection on the economic situation.
Duffy says the Rochester Chamber has been working with Sentry and Master Lock to find new jobs for the affected workers and continue to do so.
