Seneca County investigators arrested a 44-year-old Seneca Falls man on charges of tampering with physical evidence after a woman was stabbed at a business in the Town of Tyre.
Derais Davis was arrested after the woman was found with knife cuts to her arm. Davis had fled the scene and the woman declined to prosecute.
Seneca County Deputies located the suspect’s car a short time later and found Davis had tried to clean blood from the interior and exterior of the vehicle. Davis also allegedly threw bloody items into a dumpster in Waterloo.
Davis was arrested and is being held in the Seneca County Jail.
