As the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment approaches, United States Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is calling on the National Park Service to put Rochester’s Mount Hope Cemetery on the National Register of Historic Places.

It’s the final resting place of Susan B. Anthony, who helped bring women the right to vote, and of Abolitionist Frederick Douglass and his wife. More than 350,000 people are buried there including John Bausch and Henry Lomb. Gillibrand says a unique concentration of influential figures in American history is buried there.
