New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is suing the FCC following today’s repeal of net neutrality rules.
Schneiderman says the move is an early Christmas present for telecom companies, allowing them to prioritize profits over customers. Schneiderman says internet service providers will be able to charge more for sites like Facebook and Twitter. He says New Yorkers deserve a free and open internet, which is threatened by the rollback.
Meanwhile, the FCC has called net neutrality rules heavy handed government overreach and micro-management.
