The Sabres beats Los Angeles for the 8th straight time in Buffalo.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres continued their domination of the Los Angeles Kings with a 6-3 victory on Tuesday night at KeyBank Center.

The win was the Sabres’ 8th straight over the Kings on game played in Buffalo. The streak started in Feb. 2004l

Trailing 2-0 in the second period, the Sabres erupted for 3 goals in a little over 4 minutes to grab the lead.

Ryan O’Reilly got Buffalo on the scoreboard first, his 7th of the season off an assist from Rasmus Ristolainen. Jack Eichel fired the puck on goal from inside the blue line, and it got past LA netminder Peter Budja and the left post to tie the game 2-2.

Just 12 seconds later, Greece native and team captain Brian Gionta redirected a shot by defenseman Justin Falk from the left point to put the Sabres in front. The goal also chased Budja from the net as he was replaced by Jeff Zatkoff.

Two minutes later, Eichel netted his second goal of the game from the top of the slot as he beat Zatkoff for his fifth goal of the season.

The Kings scored early in the third period off a faceoff, after a questionable icing call on Buffalo, to pull within 4-3.

However, the new line of Eichel, Evander Kane, and Okposo paid off with their third tally of the night when Kane scored late in the stanza off assists from Eichel and Okposo.

Sam Reinhart then iced the game away with an empty net goal in the final minute of play.

Buffalo goalie Robin Lehner recorded 30 saves as the Sabres even their record at 11-11-6.
