It’s Locker Cleanout Day at KeyBank Center. The players will head home for the summer to begin their offseason training and start thinking about next season.
Here’s what you need to know.
Amerks ready for playoff run
The Sabres assigned 8 players to the AHL yesterday morning. The Amerks have 3 games left in the regular season before the Calder Cup Playoffs begin.
Forwards Nicholas Baptiste, Alexander Nylander, and Kevin Porter, defensemen Brendan Guhle, Casey Nelson, and Matt Tennyson, and goaltenders Linus Ullmark and Adam Wilcox are now back under the watchful eye of Amerks coach Chris Taylor.

Looking back at Sabres’ season
Buffalo finished 25-45-12 on the year after dropping the season finale in Florida on Saturday by a score of 4-3. They have the best odds to win the first overall pick of June’s NHL Draft. We’ll find out where they’ll be picking when the Draft Lottery rolls around on April 28.
