Minus 1 – Penalty Kill

The Ottawa Senators came into tonight with the worst power play in the league. The night ended with them scoring three power play goals on the Sabres. A truly embarrassing performance by the penalty kill that has struggled all season.

Minus 2 – Ullmark Injury

Not only did the Sabres lose, but they lost a key piece to the team. Linus Ullmark went down in the third period with a lower-body injury. He fell awkwardly and needed help getting off the ice. He’ll get further testing today, but it didn’t look like he would be back anytime soon. We’ll see if/who the Sabres call up from Rochester to take Ullmark’s spot alongside Carter Hutton.

Minus 3 – Streak?

Going into this game everyone talked about the Sabres soft schedule in February and how they could get on a roll to get back into the playoff race. While they still could, last night didn’t look like a team that could win seven of their next 10. Not to mention win 20 of their last 32 to have any realistic shot at the playoffs.
